The very romantic Swiss Log Cabins have an enormous
history: We saved our 250 ! year old farmhouse in
Switzerland that had to be dismantled by shipping all
its doors and windows in a container to
Fredericksburg. Here we recreated the cabins with old
logs from a tobacco drying barn and added all the comfy
amenities to give you an incredibly romantic experience.
The mountain creek is running directly in front of your
porch.

Inside is an
enchanting living room with a comfy designer sofa
and armchair to enjoy the old stone wood fireplace.
Delight in the understated elegance of the beautiful
furnishings reminiscent of the past but with the comfort
and luxury of today. The distinguished 700 sqf cabins are richly
(but not overstuffed) appointed with
original Swiss and Texan antiques. All of the Swiss
Log Cabins have a wood burning fireplace, king size
bed, a corner
Jacuzzi tub. The kitchenette is equipped with
refrigerator, toaster, microwave and coffeemaker.
Just a few
steps in front of the cabins is Baron's Creek. When you wake
up there
is a very good chance that deer are grazing
just in
front of your bedroom window. Which one of the Swiss
Log Cabins is the cutest ? Nobody can make the call.
They all are so unique ! You can not go wrong with
either one of it. The "Lucerne", "Interlaken", "Zermatt"
and "Wasserfall" have a one open room concept. If
you prefer the bedroom separate from the living room,
then the "Geneva" or the new "Rhine falls" would be
your choice. The "Rhine falls" even has a
small kitchen (2 burner table top), where
the other ones have a kitchenette. The very newest
"Grindelwald" is the only Swiss Log Cabin that allows
children (pull out sofa) and pets ( < 40 lbs) and is the
most private location.
