restored - was built circa 1870 and moved from
Greensboro, Kentucky. Two porch rockers will summon you
before entering and offer a peaceful solitude. Enjoy the
beautiful country sunset and the lush fragrant gardens
surrounding the cabin grounds.
Inside is an
enchanting living room with a comfy designer sofa
(queen-size sleeper) and armchair to enjoy the
old stone wood fireplace. Delight in the understated
elegance of the beautiful furnishings reminiscent of the
past but with the comfort and convenience of today.
This distinguished cabin is richly appointed with
original oil paintings, chandeliers, crystal, colorful
pottery, handmade rugs and exquisite linens. One step
down will take you into the long flowing kitchen
equipped with refrigerator, toaster, microwave and
coffeemaker. The bath has a large glass bricked shower
and handsome dressing table with porcelain
sink.
An original hand-crafted bed is the focal
point of this romantic
bedroom. The bed has rustic wood posts with an old iron
gate as a headboard. Special touches include a stained
glass window found in the highest point of the eve over
the bed.
Just a few
steps from the cabin is Baron's Creek. When you wake
up there is a very good chance that deer are grazing in
front of your bedroom window.
